Can anyone think of a crappier job in America than secretary of the Department of Homeland Security? I'm sure there are a few, but this one has to suck.
Totally thankless position - you may do 1,000 things right but as soon as a terrorism act occurs you're the one that screwed up.
Worst pay and of all agencies.
Worst work/life balance of all agencies.
Poor family/friend culture.
employees think that leadership is ineffective.
Only agency with a lower overall score is the SBA.
How much of this can be attributed to it being a relatively new ageny?
