Default They don't make my shoes anymore

I am getting ready to start running in a new pair of shoes today that have been sitting in my closet for months. When I find a good deal on shoes I will buy 2 or 3 pair because I know they work for me and, yes I am that cheap.

So having depleted my years supply of running shoes I decided that I would try and find another good deal and buy at least 2 more pair. {(I bought the last ones for 49.99). I run in the Brooks Radius series, which are a neutral shoe and are essentially only cushioning. But as I started looking I couldn't really find them at my normal haunts. I have the radius 7 right now so I figured the radius 8 would be the shoe to get. Well, they stopped making that line of shoes.

I emailed Brooks and they explained that that there are similar shoes, but nothing that takes over in that line. The new ones have subtle differences.

I fear change, especially when it comes in the form of my running shoes. I plan on running at least 400 miles in these things. When you find something that works you stick with it.

So now it looks like I will hunt down the existing pairs on the market and horde them for the next year or so.

RIP

My wife is the same way with her shoes. She has run in the Asics Gel 1000 series for over 10 years. I think she is on the 1130s now.
