I've used Business Plan Pro before. It was pretty decent. The software mostly serves as a checklist of all the things to think about. It's only as good as the quality of information you can give it. In other words, the software can't make a good plan - it's only you that can make a good plan. The software may help facilitate that a little bit but if you don't have good info to feed into the software then the software won't produce anything good.
If you have a couple of good examples of business plans and just typed up your own business plan in Word then it would be just as good as anything the software could produce.
