Default vs. Portland in semi-final game

BYU played great this game. Fischer was on fire. Haws was hitting in his mid-range game. Kyle was dishing and dealing. Corbin was patrolling the paint. FBIV played great defense. We even had a Worthington sighting (and of course a dumb foul).

KC tied the career record for triple doubles, his 6th of the season (which is 2 more than the previous record for most in a season).

Of course, we do need to look at this game critically as well.

1. Dobby was very spotty when he came in at the end to replace KC after the T-D was achieved. It was bad. But that's kind of what you get from him. He's like a box of chocolates, you never know if you are going to get good Skyler or bad Skyler.

2. Winder did not play. Smart decision by Rose, because Winder in his current condition is a liability.

3. The PG on the end of our bench. When he came in during garbage time, and airmailed a pass into the stands 40 feet from the bucket. That was funny.

4. Along those lines, you watch Toolson and Nixon, and look at their foot speed compared to what we have on the floor now with Bartley and Sharp. It's night and day.

I'm proud of these guys, they did what they needed to do to get in the dance. That's esp. cool for the seniors.

At halftime I told my wife that it was going well for BYU. She said "I know, I haven't heard you cussing."

Well I guess I have some repenting to do.
