I guess when Lance was around, you'd cheer for him and Discovery?

So the big stories of this year...
1. Having 2 American teams in the TdF with Team Columbia and Garmin Chipotle.. although, aren't there just a few Americans on those teams? Christian Vandevelde, Danny Pate, George Hincapie, Will Fishkorn and I think there is only 1 more..
2. What happened to Dave Zabriske and Levi Leipheimer? Did they dope or guilty by assocation? Will they be back next year?
3. Did Jan Ullrich retire with Lance?
4. I recognize a few names... Cadel Evans, (really in the running to win the whole thing?) Robbie McEwen, Fabian Cancellara, the easy names to pronounce..

What are some things to look for? I wanted to just pick an American team and just go for them, but the teams are all so mixed that I'm just watching to watch for the fun of it.

I don't like the French.
American teams mean american money, Even the posties and discovery only had a few maericans at any given time.

Zabriskie crashed in the Giro (wasn't it the giro?) and is injured pretty badly right now, as I recall. Levi is racing in colorado right now (go to Thedailypeloton or velonews for updates) and is not in the tour becasue the French are wussies and didn't want the best stage rider in the sport (contador) who just won the giro so they banned Astana, which is Contador and Levi's team.

Ullrich retired in a haze of doping claims, including operacion puerto (puerta?). Aswe speak he is tkaing amphetines in a disco somewhere in Monte Carlo. I wouldn't say he retired with Lance. In fact, he tried to ride another season or two, but for some reason the doping thing kept gettting in the way.

Cadel has been quiet but very inpressive this year. Valverde has the flash but Cadel is looking very tough right nopw and is very well positoned.

McEwen is toast, it seems. Cancellara, as you probabyl know, is an ITT specialist.
