Well I only have done one before and I don't recall what I did, somewhere around 1:40 - 1:44 and that was the Provo River 1/2.

The course I plan on doing this year is hilly so really I just want do better than last time (sub 1:40) and not feel like I am going to die when I finish. I felt so bad last time.

I think a good 1/2 id different for everyone. For me I would love to be close to 1:30. I think that would be a very good 1/2 for me.

I may be fast on the shorter distances, but I don't do distance (yet). I have only run over 10 miles once in my life. and that was the aforementioned 1/2.
