I don't think it will ever happen, but there seems to be some 'evidence' to show that maybe in the following life priesthood lines will extend past men.
The Toscanos in Strangers in Paradox have a pretty interesting theory about the OT patriarchs, and demonstrate how the birthright of priesthood authority, while clearly residing in the males, might have been transmitted through the females Sarai/Sarah, Rebekah, and Rachael. These "Matriarchs" received revelation from the Lord, enjoyed a privileged lineage, and exercised a considerable degree of initiative and resourcefulness. They were hardly pushovers. Contrast with the story of Esau's marriage to a daughter of Ishmael, clearly someone - although related - from inferior lineage (Gen. 28). Clearly, females were tied to legitimate authority.
