Yep, all you have to do is open a can of beer and let it sit for a few hours. I use mesquite chips, though hickory would probably be good too.
This has made me hungry for ribs. I know what's for dinner tomorrow. (I assume you figured out that it's good to let it marinate for about 24 hours and to turn the ribs in the marinade a few times?)
