I love the nigiri sushi but it's price/enjoyment ratio is just too high when compared to the various maki-type sushi rolls you can get. The makis generally have a better price/enjoyment ratio, or, to coin a phrase, "more bang for the buck".
Of course, saying I prefer nigiri over maki is like saying I prefer man-on-top over women-on-top: either way it's still good.
