In his favor is that he is dirt cheap and Mavs like most teams are budget-crunched. Also in his favor is that he is a 3-and-D guy potentially. Except right now he is no3-and-D. He has to be better at shooting the 3. But he's definitely a guy who can switch on defense and that's important.

However the addition of Jalen Brunson may mean that there is no roster spot for Collinsworth. Dennis Smith, Yogi Ferrell, JJ Barea, Jalen Brunson. AND Kyle? Tough hill to climb.
