Is it okay to like Michael Jackson again?
I was a superfan back in the day. Like many (if not most) Americans, my enthusiasm waned as behavior became increasinly bizarre and the child molestation charges surfaced.
So now that he's gone, it somehow seems like we can let that all go and just appreciate the artistry for what it was. I've got a strong urge to purchase Thriller again. In fact, I had but one Jacksons tune on my ipod before: Jackson 5: I Want You Back. I've listened to that several times in the past few days. Good stuff.
