It's been very entertaining, but its over. Or it will be over very soon. Good article on the Washington Post Sunday edition which urges Republicans to start frankly acknowledging the likelihood of a democrat in the White House and focus every available resource on the Senate races. Those candidates for the Senate, in turn, should also acknowledge a Democrat White House, say they can work with one, and warn of the dangers of a liberal supermajority, particularly one that is filibuster-proof. Apparently as many as 8% of voters cast their ballots strategically to prevent either party form controlling everything.
I can get on board with that strategy. It is time for Republicans to think in terms of what can be salvaged.
