The business flopped, they divorced, my sister couldn't afford the house payments, and had to have her ex's wages garnished for support, because he refused to voluntarily help with his child.

And she let herself go. When I got home after two years, I almost didn't recognize her. She easily put on 100+ lbs.

In high school, she was always so beautiful and had guys calling all the time. She took care of herself and was so pretty. This continued during the short marriage.

But through her losses, she let herself go. And I didn't feel like she needed me to point it out. I am sure she is well aware of what she looks like.
I enjoy watching "The Biggest Loser", and it always reminds me that a lot of times, behind the obesity is someone who is really hurting inside. I've tried to be better at not taking pot shots at overweight people, but I fail occasionally.

There is a guy in my ward who is absolutely enormous, easily 400 lbs. I've often thought about approaching him and asking if he would like someone to maybe go to the gym with him or just go to the Parkway and start a walking regimen, to see if we could get some weight off of him. I'd be willing to do it. But I really don't know him that well, and I fear he may take it the wrong way. So I've never said anything.
