There are costs associated with swimming but it's more cultural than costs that impact swimming. The travel is what is expensive, but the cost of clubs is not that bad.
My son was on a polynesian club football team and that got expensive but none of the kids lacked any of the special gear.
Cullen Jones and those like are trying to change this image, but it's more cultural than costs.
