It just shows you how screwed up adoption is in the USA, that many families don't want to deal with it, and go out of the country to adopt.
My friends who adopted a Chinese girl, they didn't want to mess with an open adoption and all that. Even in close adoptions, they are not necessarily closed.
The international adoption is the sure thing.
