Default Legal Question

I understand that Texas law forbids marriage for people under the age of 16. However, the FLDS plural marriages are not legal marriages recognized by the state. Rather, they are unofficial "spiritual" marriages. As such, do these cases then fall under statutory rape law? I am under the impression that most states define SR as sex between and adult (18+) and a juvenile (younger than 18). As such, it seems that any pregnant girls under 18 would be raising red flags. But this doesn't seem to be the case. What am I missing?
