There is no comparison.

The Jazz have a nice team this year. And they are peaking at the right time. But let's not get carried away in the moment.

Looking back in retrospect, how in holy heck did Sloan go back to back Finals with Shandon Anderson, Greg Ostertag, Howard Eisley, and Byron Russell? Didnt Greg Foster play on some of those teams? Seriously, that is pretty amazing.
Yes, there are some who think this team would have beaten Stockton and Malone at their peak. Of course, these are people who were probably 10 years old back then.

Yes, Foster was on the team both of those years. He actually was able to provide a spark once in a while. As for Anderson and Russell, they were pretty athletic and smart enough to know their roles. Tag was, well, Tag. And Eisley was a competent backup to spell Stock.

But I do understand what you're saying. What it tells me is that the Jazz had a helluva combination in Stock and Malone and Sloan is an underrated coach.

In the 97-98 season, the Jazz won 43 of the last 48 games. 43-5. Jordan just wanted it more.
