You know, I would usually blow off anything that Canseco said about all of this until it turned out that he was pretty damn accurate about who was using.
Of course, A-Rod would have only started using once he got to the Yankees. My understanding is that one of the side effects of steroids is pronounced growth of facial hair. Why else would Steinbrenner require that his team be clean shaved?
