I'd add a few others to the list:

1) Dances. We had school dances starting in 7th grade so I had the deacon shuffle mastered by the time I turned 14 and went to church dances. Plus, you can't recreate the anxiety of asking a girl to dance in the home school setting. Realizing that the hottest girl in school is out of your league when she laughs after you ask her to dance is a public school rite of passage.

2) Exposure to the caste system that only public school can provide. By the time you leave there are no surprises about how the world sees you.

3) Daily interaction with the people of the opposite sex who are not your mother or your sister.

4) Smear the queer. Though I'm sure it has a different name now, it's a public school tradition.
