Fair questions.
I think I can say with complete honesty that I've never been offended by the words of another individual. I do believe that my wife (and she would be the only one) could probably say something that might prompt me to take offense because I value her opinion and I respect her as a person so much. I wouldn't be proud of myself for allowing myself to feel offended, but it could probably happen.
I will also say that if I have been offended by the words of another person, it is most definitely a regrettable decision on my part.
