I would not be happy if one of my teammates (if I were a girl) choose to try and get pregnant and it affected the make up of our team and limited our chances to compete at the highest level.
If the school is giving you a scholarship, I kind of feel it is like a contract between the 2 parties. the school on one hand promises to give you that money and on the other hand you promise to live up to your end of the deal and actually be available to come out and compete, barring injury.

You're correct about the scholarship is like a contract. That's why, unlike super do gooder Gerdy, I never had a problem with Majerus sending players on their way - they didn't live up to their end of that contract.
