Don't limit it to Repubs. My old boss, a died-in-the-wool Dem from Western Pennsylvania working class stock hates here and said he would never vote for her.

Along the lines of what Indy said, I think she comes across as arrogant, knowing what's better for us all. Her association with ther husband doesn't help. Also, much like Bill, she tends to take credit for things in which her part was very marginal (what is up with this 35 years of service to America crap?). Add to that all the fawning over her that many Dems displayed from the beginning ("She's the most intelligent woman I've known." That statement has sexism written all over it, but I guess Dems get a pass on that one.), and there is a backlash.

That said, she has gotten a little bit more likable as she has taken on that light-weight Barack.

Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith.
