A few posts back I asserted that JFK really wasnt that great of a President. I still stand by this assertion. His greatest legacies are either politicla failures, fashion, or associations with women. His legacy today benefits more from nostalgia than actual accomplishment.
However, in an effort to be balanced, he eventually became pro-active in Civil Rights....although he didnt draft the proposal, his brother did. Whoops, there went my balance!
Perhaps Kennedy's biggest contribution to society was to serve as the inspiration for "Mayor Quimby."
