Eyring sounds like a great choice for FP, as he is not perceived as antagonistic toward academia.
Cook is a strange choice, sounding quite safer, but he's an Aggie having lived in Utah and California, is relatively old, doesn't speak a foreign language and really adds nothing the Quorum doesn't already have.
