I think that because Vick flat-out lied about it when it first came known that it was happening at his house is what started the entire make-an-example-out-of-him ball rolling.
No sympathy from me for Vick - and it has nothing to do with the dogs. It's all about celebrities/athletes rarely being punished for what they do when regular folks would be locked up for lesser crimes.
If he's an example and it's unfair, so be it. It's about time that antisocial thugs with money get theirs.
