FWIW, I really enjoy having Cougarboard around. For one, I've got a 10 year old boy who is just beginning his journey down the path of BYU fandom, and I have no problem at all with letting him sit down and read CB, because I know the vulgarity that is so prevalent on many college sports bulletin boards just isn't there. Is it fairly asinine most of the time? Of course, and I've done my part to add to the stupidity.
The moderation at times is over the top, but whatever. I did three months in the hole for the whole Teenage Dirtbag thing, and I had it coming. It's not like there aren't thousands of other message boards where you are free to post whatever you want about whatever you want.
I think CG has a place, too. Many of the topics covered around here are of no concern to me, but I like the fact that there are quite a few people who are into the same kinds of activities I'm into, and posting about it here has been a pleasant surprise.
