This line of thinking exists because the revelation that comes forward these days seems corporate and not particularly ground-breaking.
And it becomes hard to differentiate what is "revelation" and what is "a good idea."
YM who are too fat, won't be allowed on missions. Revelation?

Avoid porn. Revelation?
I think plenty in the church would be happy if the prophet said "Thus saith the Lord."
