What I'm saying is that more athletically talented kids try out for football, basketball and track.
Many average middle class white kids try out for swimming. That defined me. A talented kid in swimming will rise quickly.
Swimmers are fit, because of the intensity of the training. However, if your kid is as talented as you say, he should make a splash on the national scene.
