They also came over to my house. They asked how we were liking the ward etc. Asked what calling I wanted...how do you answer that? "Um, well, the calling that allows me to ditch Sunday School so I can run home and get caught up on the NFL scores."

That calling would be ward clerk. Very easy to get lost.

I don't know. I think ward clerks get hammered pretty hard.

Agreed. Assistant clerk would be much better. But the ultimate calling is 2nd counselor in the Sunday School Presidency.
