The Poor Celtics...

Has any team gotten screwed over more than the C's when it comes to big-men lotterys?

First they lose out on Tim Duncan...

10 years later they lose out on Greg Oden.

Our boy Danny Ainge has his work cut out for him... so, here are two trades he should try to make to help his team get better:

Trade 1:
Trade Wally Sczerbiak to Portland for Zach Randolph
Wally has a shorter contract, and would work in Portland, and allow them to get rid of Randolph. This gives Boston a low-post presence and help for Paul Pierce. But they are not done yet...

Trade 2:
Trade Theo Ratliff and #5 to Seattle for Rashard Lewis in a Sign and Trade
Seattle can then pick another young player to pair with Ray Allen and Kevin Durrant. Boston suddenly has a very talented team and support for Paul Pierce. Championship team? Not likely. But a team that can compete in the East.

C: Al Jefferson
PF: Zach Randolph
SF: Rashard Lewis
SG: Paul Pierce
PG: Rajon Rondo

Are you trying to tell us that we're supposed to feel badly for the team that has more NBA Titles than any other?

No way the Blazers make a straight up Randolph for Wally trade. Randolph right now is being used to try to get another draft pick. If the Celtics want Randolph it is going to cost the number 5 pick in the draft, or a three way trade to get the Blazers a pick in the top 15 of the draft.
