Rulon Gardner...

I know that this is very insensitive, but is anyone else tired of Rulon Gardner (http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=929396)? It seems like every month there is a new story of either him getting married, losing a toe or another near death experience. I am still waiting for the next story of him falling into a volcano and getting spit out and still surviving.

All I know is that if the guy invites you to go hang gliding, run the other way.

I always wondered if CarrotTop was really that buff. I guess that question was answered....

I vote he change his avatar. That picture is just nasty with all those little veins popping out.

That link appears to not be working any more. What is the latest news from Afton, Wyo?

I'm very tired of hearing about him

I believe he was hangliding at Lake Powell (or as we Utahns call it, Lake Pal) and crashed into the water, swam for a while - it was reported that he about a mile in 44* water - then spent the night in one of the canyons around the lake in temps that were down in the 20s.

Oh yeah, he had friends with him too.

I like the instapoll that Hod Sanders did on utefans:

Is Rulon Gardner:

A) Lucky
B) Unlucky
C) A dumb !@#$

The veins don't other me nearly as much as his face does.

I think it was a plane and not a hang glider.

But I am glad that you acknowledge the accent of Utahans since most residents of the state refuse to believe that they have an accent.

You're correct, it was a plane. myboynoah's post was subliminally affecting my thoughts when I posted that.

And yes, we Utahns in general have a particular accent, though in Utah, the ones with the accent are technically from out of state. The Utah accent is only an accent in another state, if that makes sense.
