Utah to play spoiler

The big four of the MWC all have a chance to finish in a four way tie for first place at 12-4. In fact, taking the most likely outcome of each remaining game, it will result in a four way 12-4 tie.

The big four have no road games at CSU left. I view Utah on the road as the most difficult expected wins the big four have left. SDSU and UNLV both have Utah in SLC. Utah can play terrible but they can also play great. They should be able to win one if not both of those games. I also am worried about playing Utah in the first game in the MWC tourney as we will have swept them in the regular season and they are a dangerous team--bad situation.

The three games between the big 4 left are:

AFA at UNLV, AFA can't beat UNLV in Vegas with their pace
BYU at SDSU, SDSU playing too well to lose at home
BYU at AFA, AFA is running out of steam and BYU is confident on the road...this is the game BYU can grab the OCC

I predict:

Utah gets hot and beats either SDSU and UNLV or both at home (but it doesn't matter to the standings) because...

BYU beats AFA

BYU wins OCC.

1. BYU 13-3
2. SDSU 12-4
3. UNLV 11-5
4. AFA 11-5

AFA loses tiebreaker to UNLV because BYU swept AFA. This is a dream scenario as we get the easiest of the big 4 again in the semi's of MWC tourney, and we have a chance of avoiding UNLV completely as hot SDSU has a chance to knock them off.

That was ugly. The silver lining is that Giacoletti is one game closer to being gone.
