I heard about this article on NPR. One of the commentators said that the article had gone "viral". That is, people have become interested in it, and are passing it around.

I've read many articles by the author.

Drs. are crooks? Is that what the town teaches us?

The system is perverse.

The system pays almost nothing for medical THINKING, but pays a lot for medical PROCEDURES.

So of course, the procedures people want to do a lot of procedures. If you are a surgeon, you don't get paid very much for evaluating someone and telling them they don't need surgery, or should put it off for a year.

And guess what kind of people go into PROCEDURE-oriented medicine. People who like doing procedures, and people who like having lots of money.
