For Jane Fonda's sake, Obama must win!

You have got to be kidding. Watching these complete wacko nutjobs melt down if McCain won would be so damn awesome.

"Yesterday, Jane Fonda sent me an email to tell me that she cried all night and can't cure her ailing back for all the stress that has reduces her to a bundle of nerves." "My back is also suffering from spasms, so much so that I had to see an acupuncturist and get prescriptions for Valium."

I like Obama, and voted for him, but it would almost be worth seeing him lose to see the reaction of the nutty left. No one does hysterical histrionics like persecuted lefties.

On the other hand, if Obama pulls out to an early lead, I expect to log on to Cougarboard a couple of times purely for entertainment value.

It certainly would be hilarious to see the reaction of the snipe types should Obama have a big lead early.

I bitch and moan about him, but I won't expatriate if he's elected. It would just make me have the desire to get involved in getting him voted out in '12.

My entertainment value would be in watching the Obama honks in the media who have been campaigning for him on the tv airwaves. One of my most entertaining election nights was watching Peter Jennings almost crying as he and the politicos on ABC had to report that Newt Gingrich and Co. were gaining contol of the House.

I can't afford to leave, but if I could, I would gladly take a hiatus in HK or Monaco, or even Costa Rica, until King Obama left office. That way I could gain some real humility sipping virgin margaritas on the beach.

As tempting as that would be to do, my kids wouldn't want to give up their friends, school or athletics/music/dance activities. And it would be tough for me to not attend U athletic events.

I asked my kids, making them half believe we would do it, and the boys said, "cool, in Monaco, we could see some real football."

Boys don't need friends as much as girls do and both mine are college aged.

Your situation is different. My oldest is a soph in high school and she would "just die".

The oldest boy would have a tough time leaving his teammates in football. They've been playing together for 6 years now and in their age-group, have made it to the finals 4 times, winning it twice. He said he doesn't want to leave his teammates.

The two younger would be fine.

And I think the wife would be the most against it.

Maybe Obama could bail me out, sending me to France so I could study socialism first hand and report back after he's left office.

Didn't he already say he would?

That makes me fear for the younger generation. They appear to have bought into the European/Third World mentality that soccer is acceptable recreation.
