That's a pretty amazing stat. Read it in the Dallas Morning News, article about why the number of hunters is going down nationally.

One of the main reasons, in Texas at least, is that the middle-class can't afford to go hunting.

Permits too expensive?

Texas is almost all private land. Hence it's the lease that is too expensive.

I assume in Utah white trash can go to town on federal land.

That hunting is viewed as a white trash/redneck activity is probably one of the reason minorites don't hunt.

Love to hear that the number of hunters is declining. Leaves more animals for the rest of us.

Judging by the crime statistics, blacks just do their hunting in urban settings.
