Battlestar Galactica Season 2.5
 

So I just finished Season 2.5

The season finale....the sudden and abrupt shift in tone and everything in general was very off-putting. At first I thought it was Baltar having a dream of what the future looked like know that he's the President,,,but still.....the last 20 minutes were very odd. The show has always been pretty dark, but even this shift was just too uncomfortable.

In short, I didn't like at all the way that season ended.

I don't know when Season 3 comes out on DVD, and I'll still watch it, but I hope Season 3 isn't like the last parts of Season 2.5.

FWIW, Season 3 is the darkest of all the seasons. The first few episodes of season 3 are pretty tough. I love Battlestar and the season lightens up a bit as you go along, but it stays darker than the previous seasons no question. That end of season 2 was pretty dramatic and unexpected.

I don't think there is a release date yet for season 3, though it will probably be in the next month or so. Season 4 starts in January and they usually release 1-2 months before the new season starts.

Considering how dark the show already is, if Season 3 is the darkest then it should be interesting to watch.

I liked season 3 (I liked all the season). It is dark and tackles some issues relevant for our day. The story drags a bit in the middle, but the final episodes are great - lots of questions... I'm excited for season 4, which I've heard is the last. Great series.
