Talk about a story made for a TV movie...

"ANCHORAGE, AK – A jury Monday convicted a former stripper turned Olympia, Wash. soccer mom in the decade-old murder of her fiance.

Mechele Linehan, 35, was convicted of first-degree murder for conspiring with another fiance to kill Kent Leppink, who was shot three times in 1996 near Hope, AK. Prosecutors say Linehan wanted Leppink's $1 million insurance policy.

Prosecutors had claimed she was following the plot of the 1994 movie, "The Last Seduction," in which a femme fatale coaxes her lover into killing her husband for his money.

Linehan's other former fiance, John Carlin, was convicted of Leppink's murder in April and will be sentenced in November.

Linehan's sensational trial was full of tawdry details about her lifestyle and alleged manipulation of men she met while dancing at the Great Alaskan Bush Company strip club in Anchorage.

Linehan was arrested last year in Olympia, where she was a school volunteer, active in church, and remarried to an army doctor who has stood by her side and spoke in her defense during the trial. A cold-case detective uncovered new evidence linking her to Carlin and the murder.
