I'm surprised this didn't generate much discussion yesterday outside of creekster's comment.

I think it is not the case. Using the Rubicon model, the Church isn't crossing, but one or two fo its soldiers fell in and so there you are. (I have no more insight than you, this is just my guess.)

Someone smarter than me tell me what "in-kind" donation means please. I think I might be assuming right but need more clarification and examples.
