cafeteria Mormons
 

to some extent we are all cafeteria Mormons. I'm just chuckling. All the Mormons I know who are defending the decision on banning children of gays, and extolling members to follow the prophet. When the church has a more liberal viewpoint (say on immigration or refugees), it is crickets.

It's funny how rare it is to find someone who gets out and defends the church on both conservative and liberal issues.

Now to be fair, most of them don't criticize the church on the liberal issues. They just ignore it. After all, you don't want to publicize it. Or give ammo to liberal Mormons.

I'm just as guilty as the rest.
