Parenthood
 

When I woke up this morning, my wife was already up. But I noticed my young 3 year old daughter was in bed, no doubt stowed away by my wife in the middle of the night.

She was sleeping, and I gazed at her peaceful visage. Her eyes opened, the curtains of unconsciousness pulled back, to see her father looking into her eyes.

She then punched me in the face.

This is allegory for much of life.
