Strangest injury -

that was sports or workout related?

I was running last night. Hot and humid evening, and a pretty good sized bug flew into my left eye as I was crossing a street. I staggered to the curb, sat down, and emptied my water bottle into my eye. Still wouldn't come out. I couldn't keep it open, it was tearing up like crazy, and I had to somehow run the last 1.5 miles home to get to a bathroom sink and mirror. After about 5 minutes of digging, I managed to get it out. Now, 24 hours later, it still hurts like hell and is oozing milky stuff. I might end up at the doctor on Monday.

What are your stories?

1. ran into edge of picnic bench seat while sledding. gashed me.
2. brakes failed on bike going down hill. Did superman over the handlebars and almost lost my balls.
3. quick release front tire popped off. Two surgeries.

That's scary. Every now and then when I'm going 30 mph+ down a hill I'll think about those quick releases and how bad it would suck if one of them failed. How fast were you going? I'm guessing you don't have to be going all that fast for it to end badly.

I was probably going 17mph.

I saw a kid smash his pecker between 2 forty five pound plates while loading them on the hip sled in gym class. Not pretty.
