The Boston bombers

I'm grimly amused that the younger brother is blaming everything on his older (and deceased) brother.

"Throwing him under the bus."

Which is something I think he is okay doing, since he allegedly did that very thing to kill his own brother. He ran him over with his car as he escaped.

There's going to be a big movement to "save" this kid. Too cute. Too young. Hair too wavy. Has nice friends. Has hung out with liberal NPR families. Brainwashed. Not his fault. Government conspiracy. Don't we care about redemption anymore? Isn't forgiveness an American value?

The cover presents a stark contrast with our usual image of terrorists. It asks, “What did we expect to see in Tsarnaev? What did we hope to see?” The answer, most likely, is a monster, a brutish dolt with outward manifestations of evil. What we get instead, however, is the most alarming sight of all: a boy who looks like someone we might know.
