The calendar boys vs LDS gal

models.

Do you think LDS gal models should be allowed to pose and have a web page in a bikinni.

How about being allowed to Host a BYU sponsored TV show.

I myself think there is absolutely nothing wrong with it as I see nothing but beauty when I see a "fox" in a Bikinni. LDS or not.

However, I do know there are orthodox mormons who consider gals in a bikinni as porn.

The issue was the attention to the church. If a girl puts up bikini pics of herelf at a website called mybikinipics.com no worries. If she she calls it mormonhotties.com or something like that, she'd probably have the same fate.

Two people are screwing around and start a fire. One is able to put it out before it does any damage. One is unable and it starts a huge forest fire, destroying many homes and millions of dollars of damage. Both committed the same crime/sin, but the results are much different. The church punishes more on the results than the sin.

What's the story here? I haven't heard anything about this.

I guess I don't get what attention was so damaging. It wasn't church sanctioned.

Most of the non-members I know already know RM's don't fit into one small category.

Maybe I am missing it. I thought it was laughable, what was damaging?

People in authority get funny ideas about what is damaging. Like Utah Dan said, excommunicating the guy could end up more damaging to the church. What's worse, having a light shined on the church that shows some of its members as sinners? Or looking like a bunch of hard asses who excommunicate people for silly things?

My ban on CB has to do with how Jefe believes posts on a sports message can be damaging to the LDS church. Sorry usually I don't act bitter about it, VV's brought up old wounds.

The image thing is one of the items that bother me. It is either a "fake" of who we all are or should be always told, "this is how we would like our members to be."

It is like the orthodox membership is always looking around to see if the unorthodox or even inactive group are embarassing them.

So how many others checked to see if mormonhotties.com was a real website?

"Moroni's Angels." Ha!

I just checked...yikes. Hopefully work doesn't check the sites I've viewed. I just banged through 20 pages of that site. ;)
