T.O.'s apology
Some people may think today's apology by T.O. to his coaches and teammates was sincere.
I, however, think he was just advertising for the other NFL teams. He knows he's done in Philly, and he wants someone else to pick him up next season. Anyone think he really cares about the toes he's stepped on? |
No. Owens just doesn't get it. Hopefully, no team will be stupid enough to give him a chance to play again and he'll just go away.

I think it was Steve Young on NFL Primetime who made the point that his antics may have ruined his chance of getting into the hall of fame - he may have a hard time finding more than a year contract at a time, and he's not going to get nearly the numbers he would if he stayed consistently in a successful system.

A caller on the Dan Patrick show today said the honeymoon ended when T.O. was injured last December. His teammates said they were still going to get over the hump and win the conference without him. They meant it as a rally cry, to mean we are not going to let this deter us. T.O. however, in his selfishness, took it as a personal attack.
Then when they did win the NFC without him, but lost the Super Bowl with him, he couldn't stand the appearance that he's not a differencemaker, began opening his mouth, and the honeymoon was over. |
