Check out the letter to distributors: http://en.fairmormon.org/index.php/S...uth_DVD:letter This is my favorite part: Quote:

About the DVD: It's amazing how far some people will go, eh? I'll be watching closely for whomever may want to leave it at my door (if it happens), and open the door and ask them why they blatantly ignored the "No soliciting, dammit" sign. I can play the game too. |
oh brother. these anti's are a hoot.

FAIR might be licensed to use it. I would imagine the Church licenses certain groups to use terms and licenses associated with the Church. OTH, Mormon is probably not protected intellectual property so the anti's won't be infringing upon protected rights by the use of "Mormon."
However, the Tanners were sued when they published the Handbook of General Instructions on the web. The Church won as the Tanners did not have a copyright on it and could not use or display it publcly. |
I am reading the section on Eternal Life and the counterpoints to all the claims on the DVD. It is quite humorous as every claim is supported by LDS doctrine yet the DVD is purporting that we DON'T believe any of what they are saying. Nice research.

I found it interesting to read FAIR's conterpoints. How much these anti's know NOTHING about our religion is a hoot.

I was also struck by how much all of this must have cost. The letter mentions that much of this paid for by a donation from a single individual. |
