Fans of Demeanor

There are times that remind you of just how really stupid professional and organized sports are.

Jay Cutler knee-gate.

Many bagging on him for not playing when, apparently, he wasn't so hurt that he couldn't stand or walk.

And then those saying, "that's not what concerns me. What concerns me is his demeanor, he's not getting his fellow players fired up, he's not talking to Caleb Hanie, giving him pointers."

Holy mother of strip malls and chain restaurants, I HATE demeanor fans.

"I want a coach who gets FIRED UP, who gets in players faces, who isn't scared to show his emotions." Oh, you mean someone like Bo Pellini? Who verbally assaults officials and his own players, who froths at the mouth, who is such a disgusting human being that when he was a baby his mother vomited on him, and not the other way around?

Dear heavens, I hate the average fat white slob middle-aged sports fan. They just want a show. A charade. They want all the right tones, all the right faces, all the right words.

They jizz in their pants over someone like Jason Garrett, and his complete get-tough cliche-filled pressers. They like angry looks, and emotion.

What is it that they lack in themselves, that makes this spectacle so important, so necessary? Why the disdain for the quiet man who goes about his job and just does it without fanfare?

If only we could execute the next 1000 sports fans that say "[player/coach] needs to show more emotion" we would finally be getting somewhere in this country.

Purge of the idiots.
