Wow.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt that he wasn't specifically referring to Palin when he talks about a pig, but for a guy that's supposedly smart, that's a pretty stupid thing to say.

And then to say something that can be construed as referring to a woman as an "old fish"...wow.

If I were running McCain's campaign, I would have Palin come out swinging. The risk, though, is that they make her look tougher than McCain.

My first reaction was to give him the benefit of the doubt, until I heard the audio. He lead into the comment with a review of Palin's record and then the crowd roared when he said it. I don't think there's any question they caught the double meaning.

It's amazing that Obama's team could have run a nearly flawless primary campaign and look so lost and confused in the general. They don't seem to have any strategy or offense at all. It's really weird. It's like watching a team go undefeated in the regular season and then blow it in the bowl game.

But he sure can read a speech.

It seems clear their plan was to defeat Hillary, not to win the general. It's much akin to teams in the Big 12 wanting to win the conference without paying much attention to winning pesky meaningless BCS bowl games. Is that the reference you're making?

I think Obama should go to mandatory diversity training to help him be more sensitive to the feelings and concerns of women.

Here's what I don't get. Why does Obama suddenly seem paralyzed by the fact that he's running against a woman? Wasn't he running against a woman all year?
