Jeff Kent

When Jeff Kent goes into the HOF he will go in as a SF Giant.

Another happy thought for Dodgers fans tonight.

Call me a hater.

I dont think Dodger fans care that much about Jeff Kent. He was nice to have on the team, but this season he has been mostly irrelevant. He has no real defining Dodger moment. And I am not even sure what his defining Giant moment is, other than getting punked in the dugout by Barry Bonds.

Personally, I am really going to miss all those wonderful Jeff Kent highlights in a Dodger uniform....fighting with Milton Bradley, calling out Vin Sculley, striking out in the NLCS vs the Phillies, etc...

It would be the moments between 1997 and 2002 (and 02-05 with Houston and LA) when he was the most productive second baseman in the history of the game, including NL MVP in 2000.

What makes you think Kent will be in the Hall of Fame?

Or is this some kind of inside joke between Dodgers and Giants fans?

Exactly. He has no defining moment.

Obviously he is an HOFer. And if Vin announces one more time that Kent has more HRs than any second basement in history, I will probably puke.

Too bad Kent was never good enough to help his team win it all. How many teams did that guy play on, burning bridges at each one?

The Giants can have him. At least Davey Lopes won a ring for the Blue Crew.

Giant fans have very little to hang their hat on. I guess this is one of those little things.

He's like a poor man's Mike Schmidt...all the way down to the goofy mustache.

He will not get into the HOF due to the rampant anti-Mormon bias of that institution.
