Star Wars, start with 1 or 4?

My wife has never seen any of the Star Wars movies. We own all 6 and she wants to watch them. Would you start with 1 or 4?

well, if you want to be true to the experience of most people 30 and older, you have to start with 4.

But it would be interesting experiment to start with 1 and see if that impacts whether she likes 1-3 more than most of us, or whether it makes her life 4-6 less or more.

I say start with 1, don't give away anything. And report back.

This is a tough one. Start with 4 and she may never watch 2 and 3 after watching 1. On the other hand start with 1 and she may never finish the series.

Too tough to call, so she's probably better off not watching any of them.

1-6 tells the chronological story, but IMO, 4-6 are the only ones worth watching. But that has a lot to do with the fact that I was around when 4-6 were released and it was tough to go back to the beginning of the entire story after I already knew how it was going to end.

four. Without a doubt. I can't imagine anyone's introduction to the franchise involving Jar-Jar. How tragic would that be?

Yeah, I kind of want to watch 4-6 and then 3 and that's it.

I'm not much of a Star Wars guy anymore. Start and end with 4.

Starting with 1 would be an interesting social experiment. But Episode 1 presumes familiarity with the Star Wars universe, especially regarding the force.

Start with 4.
