In the absence of another outlet I come here, read the many issues/arguments and ask, often aloud, 'what is in the hole'. Invariably I am seen as opposition, irrational, incomprehensible … perhaps, I am the hole in the doughnut?

interesting post. I think few of us here are truly artisitic types and so may have a hard time seeing things from your perspective. I appreciate your effort to help us get it.

Just as the donut isn't a donut without the hole, the hole is defined by its position in relation to the donut. It's a nice balance, where each needs the other to exist.

Here is my question... what about the donut that don't have holes like maple bars and apple fritters?

I answered that in my original post ... they are not doughnuts, they are 'maple bars', 'fritters', 'jelly filled doughnuts' but not "pure" doughnuts!

No kidding. Next they'll try to say beer is okay under the word of wisdom!
